Molasses Reef
Popular diving spot is the south section of Molasses Reef. Here you will find large grouper, sharks and tarpon. Fishing is prohibited at this dive site, which is part of a Sanctuary Preservation Area. Molasses Reef got its name from the fact that here was a wrecked ship, the SS Slobodna. This was a ship carrying cotton back to Europe.

Southpoint Divers is a prestigious dive center in Key West. It is Key West’s oldest dive shop and has been in operation since 1991. They offer classes, dive charters, and more. M/V Phoenix is equipped with two diving ladders, fresh water showers and storage space. It can accommodate up to 40 divers. Southpoint Divers will never take on more than 27 divers.
