Advanced technical diving certifications can be pursued by many people. TDI has Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures. PADI has Tec Trimix & Deep Diver courses. Advanced diving techniques are introduced in the TDI Advanced Nitrox course for recreational Nitrox divers. This course covers equipment usage, gas switching and advanced emergency techniques such as lift bag deployment. You can find more information on the TDI site.
TDI Introto Tech Course
The TDI Intro to Tech is a standalone training program that allows you to expand your recreational training and learn more advanced technical skills. It can also be used as a gateway to TDI’s more advanced courses, like Advanced Nitrox (Decompression Procedures) and Advanced Nitrox (Decompression Procedures). For those who have completed technical courses, it can be used to refresh your knowledge. TDI technical instructors can evaluate your skills during the course.
The TDI Intro to Tech course for divers who have not used twin cylinders, a wing or a wing is designed for those who are new to diving. This course covers advanced buoyancy control as well as gas management. Students will also gain situational awareness as well as trim skills. The course can either be taken in the open cenotes of the ocean or in areas that have similar swimming pool conditions. Advanced gas planning techniques are also taught. This course is intended to enhance your open water diving skills, and to introduce you the technical equipment configurations. Advanced gas planning techniques are also taught. The course is strictly non-decompression. However, you are allowed to use enriched nitrox during the course.

TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course
TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures courses prepare divers for accelerated and staged decompression. The course covers advanced gas planning, management and safety techniques. Students learn how to manage equipment and prepare for unexpected situations. A TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course includes four dives with a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 feet).
This course can be taken as a standalone course or as part of an Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures certification. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures are performance-based courses that last for four days. Six dives above 30 meters are required. Students complete the course according their own experience and needs. This course prepares students for advanced technical diving, including wrecks in Scapa Flow and the UK.
PADI Tec Trimix course
The PADI Tec Trimix90 course is the final part of the PADI Technical Divers open circuit. This certification course opens the door to deeper dives and explore places few others have gone. This course is not suitable for tec divers with extensive experience who want to expand their range and explore deeper underwater environments. A valid dive license is required. You also need to pass a medical check in order to be certified as trimix diving. You will need two 30cf-stage bottles and a facial mask to be certified in trimix diving.
PADI Tec Trimix 65 divers must have logged at most 350 dives. This includes at least 50 dives with a trimix of less than 21 per cent oxygen. The course also focuses on technical diving techniques and protocols. This course includes many teaching scenarios. It is the most advanced course for technical diving certification. It is important to note that these requirements are more rigorous than those for the PADI Tec Diver standard course.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course
PADI Tec deep diver certification is for recreational divers. This certification covers four diving trips, which include a practice in safety stops and descents. The technical diving equipment you use, such as a side mounted cylinder and EANx, will be practiced. Learn how to plan deep diving and manage your gas supplies. Online or offline lessons are possible with the PADI Tec eLearning system. You can also take your lessons at your own pace.
This program, unlike previous PADI courses can be completed within two years. First, you'll need to get a Tec 50 diving certification from an authorized organization. The qualification must cover technical deep diving as well as decompression dives up to 50 meters and pure oxygen diving. The Tec Deep Instructor course director may also offer Tec 50 level training. Tec Deep Diver certification will be issued to you by the PADI Course Director after completion of the Tec Deep Instructor training.
