Scuba Diving Magazine's Readers' Choice Awards have been revealed. Readers can vote for their favourite dive spots by voting for the awards. Aggressor Adventures in the Bahamas won 79 awards. That's a 34-award win over the runnerup. Readers can also vote online about their favorite dive sites or locations.

Bonaire ranked 2nd in Advanced Diving.

Scuba Diving Magazine readers named Bonaire as a top Caribbean/Atlantic diving destination for fifth consecutive year. Bonaire won Best Shore Diving Destination and was also honored in the categories Best Underwater Photography (Best Visibility), and Best Advanced Diving. The magazine's November 2021 edition will include the publication of the award winners chosen by readers.

Bonaire is home to many hiking and biking trails. You can even see flamingos in a national park. The island also has its own water filtering system, which makes the tap water safe for consumption. The island had 114 nests of healthy turtles in 2016. This was the highest number ever recorded during a single nesting season.

The fringing reef of the island runs parallel to its leeward coast, making it easy and convenient to find dive spots. Visibility is up to 80 feet/100 metres due to the reef's shallowness and warmth.
