PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response(EFR+CFC), course prepares individuals for situations in which they may need first aid. To complete the course, you must have the right equipment. Content of the course
EFR is a great tool to improve your ability to manage medical emergencies and increase your confidence. The course teaches simple procedures for emergency care and gives participants hands-on practice in a stress-free environment. Self-study books, video demonstrations, quick reference cards, and video tutorials are included in the course materials. It meets all the requirements to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver and professional rating.
CPR, rescue breathing (scene assessment), and basic first-aid are just some of the courses. The training also teaches participants how to treat common diving injuries. This includes how to bandage and splint as well as how to prevent infection. Students also learn how protect themselves against dangerous pathogens. This course can help you save lives in potentially life-threatening situations.
Pre-requisites
PADI Emergency First response course is one-day and teaches participants how they can respond quickly to a medical emergency that could be life-threatening. This program includes both classroom theory, skills development, and real-life situation practice. There are no age restrictions or pre-requisites for this course.
Divers and non-divers alike will benefit from the course, which covers CPR and first aid in all situations. Participants learn how to respond quickly and effectively in such situations, with the help of quick reference cards and videos. This course meets all requirements for PADI Rescue Diver, as well as professional levels of PADI Scuba Diver. PADI instructors are also certified to teach Emergency First Response.
Requirements
Participants in Emergency First Responder Training gain confidence and are better equipped to assist others in times of emergency. This course covers lifesaving skills such as CPR, first-aid, and primary care. It also emphasizes the importance to minimize risks. Non-divers will also benefit from the course, which will prepare them to respond in an emergency.
Students are eligible to take the PADI Instructor Exam after they have completed the EFRI program. Each course of the EFRI program starts with the prefix EFRI. They are numbered sequentially. Each course lasts for one hour. It includes 55 minutes class time and five minute breaks.
Refresher course
People who wish to refresh their skills can take the EFR Refresher Course. The course is divided into two parts: a Skill development session and an Exam. EFR refresher is optional but highly recommended by the EFR Instructor Guide. The refresher course will teach you the most recent developments in CPR and first aid. Additionally, you will learn how to use an AED. You will also learn how to teach others how to use the AED in an emergency.
This is a great course to get your skills up to par and help you meet the requirements for PADI Rescue Diver. It also meets the requirement for the Professional Rescue Diver course and other courses that require CPR training. It also contains an Emergency First Response Video that helps participants prepare for emergency situations and preview the skills they will use during the skills development session.
Cost
The Emergency First response course is a course lasting half a day that teaches emergency management skills. It includes video presentations, classroom lessons, role-play scenarios, CPR and first aid as well as AED use. The course fulfills all prerequisites for PADI certification. It costs approximately 6,900 THB per participant. The fee covers the training manual and two years' PADI certification fees.
PADI Emergency First Reaper course will provide you with CPR and rescue breathing training, aswell as the ability to assess and monitor the victim's condition.
