A PADI certification is a good option if you are looking to become a certified diver. PADI offers a variety of levels of training. The courses usually include three main components. There is an online self-study module that will teach you the basics of diving, confined water and open water diving, as well as a practical dive to put all your knowledge into action. SSI

If you want to become an SSI instructor, the first step is to become familiar with the SSI certification chart. Important to note is that SSI certifications begin at the basic level, and go up to more complex levels. SSI certification courses can be taken online or in person. During your training, you will experience several sessions in both open- and confined water. A qualified instructor will guide you and help you to improve your skills.

NAUI

There are a number of differences between the PADI and NAUI certification charts. There are major differences in the certification requirements and teaching methods. These differences can have a major impact on a diver’s skills. The best way to decide which certification to pursue is to consider your attitude and your physical capabilities.


CMAS

CMAS padi certification charts differ slightly from PADI. Although they may be similar in many aspects, the certifications offered by both agencies differ. CMAS requires that you dive to 18 metres and complete 4 training dives. PADI requires five.

BSAC

After completing the BSAC Open Water Diver programme, a diver can take further courses with BSAC. The BSAC certification charts lists all courses that will be required to become an advanced diver. These courses may involve a fee, which can range from 25 to 55 US dollars.

Digital Underwater Photographer

The PADI certification for digital underwater photographers includes an introduction to underwater photography as well as various camera techniques. This specialty can also be done in one course or in two. It includes topics such a use of colour filters and white balancing, and camera setup. Students also learn about file formats and image resolution.
